Assistantship, Economic History, University of Geneva

The University of Geneva has an opening for a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Economic History in the School of Social Sciences. He/ she will be required to teach seminars in economic and social history (maximum of 4 hours per week), to correct and grade student papers, to proctor and correct exams and to provide guidance to students in the preparation of their Bachelor projects and Masters’ theses.
The successful candidate will undertake research and write a doctoral thesis in economic and social history. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong commitment to research in international and/ or comparative economic history.
Candidates should hold a Masters degree in economic history, history, economics or another social science. They should also speak both French and English fluently.
The application deadline is August 31, 2014.
